This year I got an amazing albeit unexpected gift from my sister. She had searched through my instagram looking for Christmas ideas because as I have learned, I am a disaster to get gifts for. She came across a post I made over a year ago about a Zoeva brush set and overtly checked my collection to ensure I had yet to purchase them. My eye had been on the rose gold eye set but she went beyond that and got me the complete volume 1 set. The set is a mix of synthetic taklon hair and natural bristles. These are my first ever natural hair brushes, as I try look for vegan alternatives, so I have little to compare them to. The set as a whole is diverse and for my first week with them I challenged myself to only use these brushes along side a spoolie because I can't do my brows without. I must say it was a massive success. Although these are high end, I do believe they are worth the investment. If you want high quality staples in your collection I think Zoeva is a good place to start.
There's no way to get around this, these brushes are beautiful. They are super soft with good weight to them. The base is matte black with a rose gold ferrule and lettering. Each brush is labeled with the numbering and name of the brush style which is very convenient, It also has the Zoeva logo printed on the bottom and on the opposite side it says "color. love. makeup." The brushes just look luxurious. I've only washed the brushes once so far and there wasn't any shedding. I tried them with a few different cleansers but they held onto a little bit of colour from the makeup. The set also comes with a large clutch in a deep brown that looks almost black. It's a faux leather with rose gold hardware and the Zoeva logo in metal on the front. The inside is a warm brown with a inner zipper. It doesn't look like a makeup pouch, it looks like a high end simple clutch. I carry it around with me and have been complimented on it a number of times.

103 Defined Buffer
A standard angled buffer brush. It has an even cut allowing a smooth foundation application and is angled to fit against the contours of the face. It's dense enough to apply foundation with a fuller coverage. It's a brush that I think is needed in any collection.

106 Powder
This brush is so soft it feels like an angel is kissing my face. It can apply and blend powders with ease but is also a light enough feel to knock away excess product with ease. This has quickly become my favourite powder brush.
109 Luxe Face Paint*
A dream for those who like a very defined contour, I use this with a taupe colour to cast a shadow on my face. It's made with synthetic bristles but is still soft as can be. It blends out beautifully and is the right size to fit into the hallows of the cheeks.

112 Face Curve
If I'm being honest, this isn't my type of brush. I seldom use it or sort of flat foundation brush, If you're a fan of applying foundation with this method this is a high quality option.

127 Luxe Sheer Cheek*
I love this brush, I use this to blend out contour but it is also beautiful for blush. I have quite a few angled powder brushes but I think this might be the new favourite,
129 Luxe Fan*
I love fan brushes for highlighting and knocking away fall out. I do like the size of this one. If you don't have one it is a helpful thing to have on hand.

142 Concealer Buffer
This is a versatile brush that could be use for concealer or under the eyes. It blends both powder and cream like a dream. It's so dense that allows for full coverage. It fits easily in small corners of the face. It's one of the better concealer brushes I've used.

226 Smudger
The cut of this brush is just short and dense enough to be versatile. It creates soft lines with little effort and doesn't look harsh. It is brilliant at smoking out a look.

227 Luxe Soft Definer*
I love this to create a very soft highlight on the eyes. It blends everything very well but can also add a good amount of colour.

228 Luxe Crease*
This is the perfect crease brush. It blends everything beautifully and has a good shape to fit into the crease. Although it's a pretty common brush, it's my most used of the set. I don't want to do my makeup without it.

310 Spot Liner*
I don't love or hate this brush. It does clean up a winged liner well but it's not my choice of liner brush. If you do a lot of liner art I'm sure this would be an incredible brush to have. You can get a very thin crisp line that usually isn't quite as easy to achieve. It is a good brush but not one I utilize often.

317 Wing Liner
To say this has a harsh angle is understatement. I've never seen a brush with such a steep cut, it makes a beautiful wing.
322 Brow Line
This has pulled me away from my beloved Anastasia Beverly Hills #18 brush. It creates the most beautiful clean straight lines. Its hard to not get a clean brow with this. It's thin yet long which makes it stand apart from every other angled brush.
